Brian's Story
Brian Kelly started Kellcat Bookkeeping with a simple goal: use modern technology to take the burden of “keeping the books” off real-estate investors and small-business owners so they can stay focused on what they love doing.
His accounting career began at his mother’s small CPA firm, where he worked as a bookkeeper and tax preparer/Enrolled Agent. During that time, he discovered how accurate financials and streamlined processes could boost a company’s profitability and free up a business owner’s time. That insight became the driving force behind Kellcat Bookkeeping.
Brian is a Certified Advanced QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and a seasoned bookkeeping professional. Born deaf, he communicates through cochlear implant, lip-reading, and American Sign Language (ASL). With tools like closed captioning and video calls, he brings the same attention to detail to communication that he brings to every set of books.
When he’s not working, Brian enjoys family time, tackling home-improvement projects, skiing Colorado’s slopes, and chasing new adventures in the mountains and beyond.
